But I could be wrong. I DON"T live there, so I don't truly know. It would just seem to me that the cost of production is related to the cost of delivering your goods to market.

The cost of getting goods to market increases with ditance and only so much can be done about th eroutes to and from Alaska (short of space-folding technology) SO I still see difficulties.

That's why Junkfood and produce is so expensive in AK. Costs so much to ship the volume of cips (~1/2 the bag is air). It's not the weight, it's the space they take up...
