and tone, inflection, body language are totally absent, I try and remember to put in smileys when I mean something in a polite way. Doesn't always work,but at least I'm trying to be clearer.
Sometimes, thouth, I get so impassioned about my subjects / arguments that I forget to include the hints that I'm joking and that people read EVERY word in my post with the same fervor as my intended arguments.
From this, misunderstandings are born...
:-) And Naruki feasts on this type of thing... (I'm just waiting for hir to get into the fray)
