Digital Video Camera's... info? by MyKE 2002-08-26 08:22:10
Sister's getting one from her fiance's parents... but here's the details:

-> We all presently live in Canada, NTSC, Region 1
-> They're moving (soon, he's already there) to Amsterdam for at least 2 years (ie: different region/colour system)
-> I don't know if they'll have a PC (likely laptops), so I was thinking PCI TV capture, but that's outta the question it seems.
-> They definitely will want to send stuff back to us, probably the primary intent
-> I'm not too hot-to-trot with colour conversion systems (VHS->VHS)
-> Digital is probably a best bet right?
-> My bro and m'self are planning on buying her a GOOD regular, still Digicam. (something like a $300-500 FujiFilm), so still's aren't really going to be needed from a video
-> we like Sony
-> have S-Video connections
-> high speed internet

suggestions?

  The PCI tuner card is probably a good idea, by pecosdave2002-08-26 08:33:02
    but we probably can't do that. by MyKE2002-08-26 08:51:16
