| Honestly, looking for a computer job in the frozen wilderness... :) I know that, if I could hire some four year old kid to do the grunt work around here, I'd do it. And I'd make the little bastard work ninety hours a week, paying overtime on the minimum wage I was paying him. I'm not the only heartless bastard out there who'd work his underage employees to exhaustion, either. Matter of fact, I imagine I'd be giving him the most dangerous jobs, because he's expendable and easy to replace. Ever hear of sweatshops? Personally, I think they're a great idea, but I'm not what you'd call a child-lover, and I'm sure that most parents who could envision their kids working in such conditions would agree that they're a bad thing, and that child labor laws are, in fact, for the best. Kids are stupid and weak. That is to say, they lack the mental and physical capacity to work a full-time job. But you better believe I'd be exploiting every one of them I saw if the law would allow for it. |
