One doesn't need to spend every bleeding moment on unemployment looking for work. Thats pointless. The job posting boards don't change that much.
For your information, unemployment does NOT come out of taxes. Unemployment is withdrawn from each and every one of your paychecks. When you become unemployed, they look at how much you've put it and over how long of a period of time that was, and decide you will get x amount of dolars per week for y amount of weeks. YOUR taxes do NOT pay into MY unemployment check. MY previous work does.
As for Social Security, that also comes out of ones own paycheck. And as of lately, the frieght has been that people will NOT get out of SS what they put in. Why? Government pulls money out of Social Security to make up for it's shortcommings, financially.
