If he makes contracts with them all where one group of people sells meat, the other group of people butcher meat, and yet a third group raises it, then labels them all companies and makes himself a corporation, he just produced product, mfg'ed and processed it, then sold it.

Obviously your example of 250 vegatable stands in a village of 500 people is beginning to fall apart, but the idea is still there. At the very least, maybe people won't buy it but will instead trade for it.

This means that instead of selling meat ot earn moeny to buy vegatables from the person who bought meat from him, he'd be giving the person the meat and they'de give him vegatables. An all around simpler solution to THAT particular problem.
