that as far as their own self goes, the parents shoudl be the ones deciding if they can make those decisions or not. However it goes, certiantly not hte government :P
Take me for example. When I was 13, my dad offered to buy me condoms and told me to talk to him when I developed an interest in girls. (I had developed hte interest when I was 12, but I still wasn't comfortable talking about such things.. Actually, I wasn't comfortable talking about them with my own mom until about 6 months ago..)
My parents also regulate my intake of alcohol. As a little kid I was allowed a glass once every couple of years... Now I'm allowed a sixpack.. Well, I've asked for one roughly twice a year. I could probebly ask for more :P Never wanted to tho.
And guess what? I've never gotten anyone pregnant, never drunkenly drove into someone elses car.. I've never done a lot of things other people have done. |
