I find that my musical gigs go better if I crank out some tunage in a totally different style on my way to the site. For example, if I'm playing with the Stardusters (big band: Miller, Dorsey, Ellington), it helps me get "in the mood" (har! Har har har har! Har har...look, anyone can get a laugh with a good pun. Lighten up) to crank on the heavy rock music. For a Black Velvet Elvis gig, I hammer the classical or jazz. For me, it's not really a superstition, but it sure acts like one. gm
