Until one becomes a self sufficient, contributing member of society - one does not have the right to make some kinds of decisions. If you are not capable of fully handling the consequences of your decisions and actions, then that decision or action may very well violate the rights of those forced to pick up the pieces.

My response to this from my teen-age kids (many years ago)was...

You can make ALL your own decisions - but first, give back everything you have that you have not yet earned - your car, clothes music paraphenalia etc - then find your own place to live (self supported) and make your decisions there.
