I do believe being socially ousted from teh bars is being 86'ed! A wonderful idea.

And being in your car might be a private place, but the street is very public, so drunk driving laws still apply :P

Know what happened to a friend of my brothers? He got off work one night, went to the bar, got drunk, and was hauled off to jail for "intent to drive in a drunken state". He had his keys in his pocket when he got drunk, but he had stopped drinking hours before being arrested.

We later figured out hte national gaurd was looking for a reason to dishonorably discharge him, but still, the idea that this was upheld in a court battle is insane. Intent to drive drunkenly? Thats like throwing you in jail because you own a hand gun, therefore are intending to kill someone. I own a handgun. It's a .22cal my dad passed on to me. Certinatly doesn't mean I have intent to shoot anyone with it =P Actually, I dunno where it went....
