I've had that type of questionnaire to fill in as well. One of my colleagues drew this metaphor: You go on a sea trip, there is a very big storm and a third of the crew and passengers are washed overboard. Shortly after there is a horrible disease and a third of the remaining people on board die of it. When you get into port you are given a questionnaire to fill in. -Were all your meals sufficient? Y/N -> Well yes, all those people dying make sure there was more than enough food. - Did the captain do everything he could to make you comfortable? Y/N -> Yes he did. In fact he was heroic in face of the odds. -Did You get to your destination on time? Y/N -> Yes, in fact even a bit early, the storm was to our advantage there. From your answers the people who gave you the questionnaire infer that you had a most wonderful trip.
