this is so stupid, i dunno where to start.

okay.

Dad brings home a nifty looking box the other night, drops it in my lap, says "here's a 1.3 gig HD for ya - external, like you wanted. It's SCSI, so you'll need to find a cable somewhere, and drivers, but if you can get it to work, it's yours."

"Sweet!", i think, "This'll increase my total HD size by about a third!"

Then i searched the house for SCSI cords. We have no SCSI cords. None whatsoever. (I /think/ it's SCSI - 50 pins, 3 rows, the top and bottom rows are 17 pins wide, the middle is 16 pins.)

Not only that, but as far as i can tell, there's no manufacturer listed on this sucker, so i dunno where to look for a driver. the only info on it is as follows:

Model: CHCO-001 (the 1 is crossed out and a 4 is written in its place)
Desc: CHICO TOWER,40W,CENT(crossed out),R/S, DB50 (hand written)

that's on the sticker with the bar code on it. that sticker also has a Rev number (001) and a S/N (which i'm not sharing if i don't have to, cuz i'm paranoid).

then there's another sticker that says

MODEL # MICROPOLIS 2210
SERIAL # nnnnnnnnnn (where n is a random single digit number)
SHIP DATE 9/93

any help for me, or should i use it as a door stop/sibling whacker?
