Not willing to say that the irony justifies his actions, of course, as in this particular case there is no question of the negativity of the media attention, but yes, it is extremely sad that the pro-religious-pledge folks who don't or aren't willing to understand the issue are the ones that are causing and will continue to cause the girl / family trouble about it.
Which is of course why I wish (and strive to believe) there could have been some way of doing this that didn't focus it on one previously uninvolved, uninterested, soon-to-be-if-not-yet very disillusioned little girl.
Anyhow, wasn't trying to skirt the irony, just wasn't viewing at the right angle. A sad situation all around. |
