If I'm after world population statistics, I'm more likely to believe something from the UN or some other equally well-respected NGO than some website whose logo is some derivative of the inocuous Ourobouros (the snake that swallows its own tail), a symbol widely used in astrology and mythology, which represents life, death, yin, yang, day, night, heaven, hell, blah, blah and a lot of other hippy stuff that is NOT generally associated with a strong background in mathematical statistics.
Getting concerned about the numbers presented by this site as true is about as useful as panicking about a story in the Weekly World News.
Just some food for thought. |
