As for changing the "legal standing of the father's rights"...um...no. Perhaps a little research is in order here? According to the original stories regarding the case, if I remember correctly, the father and mother share custody.
Anyway, marital status isn't germane to the facts of the case. Mention of the custodial arrangement, conspicuous by its absence, is.
You can stand by your opinion all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that you're wrong.
