Although I would prefer to give the school the benift of the doubt. If the class DID turn out to be one sided and biased THEN it should be stepped on and the offending individuals dismissed from their positions at the college. But I fail to see any real reason to get upset over the subject material itself. Sad to say there are some teachers out ther who do abuse their power. One of my close friends was reqired to take a class on 'Modern Music' - unfortuatly the proffesor she got interpretd that term to mean 'Afro-amareican music since the 60's'. My firend got a C in that class simply because she was rather vocal in pointing out the fact that there were other types of music that could be considered modern. Interestingly though - despite the strng leanings of the professor not a single student in that class that I talked to believed that Afro-american music was the end all be all of modern music. Incedentally that particular proffeser left that year for another college so I guess she felt like she could do whatever she wanted since she was leaving anyawy.
