(more specifically, mainframe cobol) Don't know the language myself, but had to do some (limited) parsing of it with visual basic. I mean, character 13 (carrage return) on the ascii table is a friggn valid character, which threw my program into fits, cutting off the line read before it actually grabbed a whole line of the program. Had to pass that problem off to someone else, as I didn't know enough about cobol to properly parse it 'till the end of a line.
