And I'm going to wreck your tidy point numbering scheme, just to be contrary.

I haven't posed a though on Palladium because, honestly, I don't care. I really don't. I'm eagerly looking forward to getting out of the tech sector and be a plain old end-user again someday. You may think it's the single most important issue facing IT professionals and computer users, and it may be the most important to you. I'm not you (you'd think I'd clarify who I'm directing this at, wouldn't you?), and it's not important to me. Technology-wise, it's sound thinking, to make security part of the actual hardware where it's next to impossible to crack remotely. Implementation-wise...we'll have to see, won't we? But since computers are only another part of my life and not my main focus, I don't mind going along with any changes made in the industry. I accepted airbags and anti-lock brakes in cars well enough.

And perhaps I was a bit hasty in saying UF went anti-Microsoft overnight. I'm sure it HAS been anti-Microsoft all along, because it's a Linux-focused comic and community. Linux users, as a group, are anti-Microsoft - but this contingent became much more vocal than it once was. I can remember days where not one person made an anti-MS jab - entire weeks, sometimes. Now you can't go six hours without hearing the same tired arguments and insults - if it's possible to insult a company - again and again.

And I'll have you know that my ideas are asinine fully 93 percent of the time. :P
