There are quite often more than two bipolar opposite opinions on a given issue. Just because one is not fanatically anti-Microsoft does not mean they MUST support every harebrained scheme out of Redmond.
You folk seem to forget that.
As to your other points (seemingly made only to appear reasonable):
1) MS is _also_ a reasonable acronym for Microsoft. M$ is _not_ a reasonable acronym, as (and you know very well this is true) it implies something about greed. You may use it, but don't pretend that it is in any way an objective usage.
2) nin_man did not voice support for Palladium, so your insistence that his "Pro Palladium" criticism of this thread somehow made him a troll is feeble. His whole point was that y'all whine about MS too much.
3) Y'all DO whine about MS too much, and to the detriment of the facts. In this case, people are seemingly blaming MS for attempting to take over the world - that's ridiculous. They won't begin Phase 7 until 3rd quarter of 2005.
4) Perhaps you generally find the other UFies to be "reasonable" because so many tend to agree with you. Personally, I find nin_man to be more reasonable, and more than half of the time his ideas are totally asinine. Same with special_ed. ;-P
5) He never said that the pro-open source dogma used here is in any way new. Where did you make that up? |
