Life in general. by caffine-iv2006-11-19 12:55:59
  Brings back memories - shudder - by the_fool76 2002-07-24 10:16:11
I too have been there and sufferd that.

The physical and psycological abuse, the extreem boredem.
I now have a college degree and a good job. (still need work on the girlfriend department though)

I am reminded of the story of the elephant tied to a post with a thin rope. The elephant could easily break the rope or pull out the post but it would never try to get away. The reson being that when the elephent was little it was tied with the same rope and peg. At that time it was too small to break the rope or pull up the post and after many attempts it finally gave up and never tried again.

The point is that you should never be like the elephant. Don't ever give up hope even though you have not suceeded every time you tried something before. It is remarkable how much easier it is to make friends and 'fit-in' as other people start to cach up to your maturity level. Granted there will alwase be some people who will never go beyond puberty but thankfully most people do reach some level of maturity. Keep at it and never give up. I am sure some day you will have that job, wife, life you alwase wanted. (at least that is what I keep telling myself ;-)
