If M$ gave to the companies the keys to Palladium so that they could police their employees, sure, business would go along. But most places I've worked are very concerned about company privacy issues and none of them want M$ getting reports on what's on their servers. And I really don't believe that Microsoft is likely to give those keys to companies. As for the home, yes I think people are foolish enough to give away their privacy, as for me, I more than ever will build all my own systems and install my own OS!
