"Day" has quite common usage to mean "the period of light between dawn and nightfall", as you will see when you go to look it up. You just arbitrarily decided to use the definition of day that fits your argument and ignore the rest, which is totally inappropriate for making a reasoned nitpick. Now you just come off as a member of the ever growing lunatic fringe. ;-)
