Indeed, the money to have them dismantled was part of the budget.
But as the <deleted epithet> expo is already in debt to the tune of 60'000'000 CHF and that they expect that debt to double before it ends... Well who knows.
The problem is, those structures were built to be easily dismantled, upkeep would be horrendous.
Though the expo is already trying to sell some of it off to the town. This has caused some outrage, after all our taxes paid for then, the location is supposedly a public park, and city ordinance prohibits building on it.
If the town does give-in and purchase, lots of city councillors will be wondering why they haven't been re-elected.
