Conversion between *nix and Windows cr/lf's by caffine-iv 2002-07-23 19:27:55
I wrote a webpage using Windows Notepad, copied it over to the Linux box, and when I opened it with joe

(vi won't let me do anything over SSH... can't delete because both the backspace key and delete key are viewed as backspace keys and you have ot dleete using delete if you didn't just write the text.. anyone who knows how to fix that is more than welcome to tell me!)

I was presented with my HTML document, as well as bunch of characters looking like M's with an underscore. Coincidently, they're placed everywhere I ever hit return!

So how do I convert between windows and *nix type carriage returns and line feeds?
