The Spanish American war was mainly the US Navy's of pre dreadnaught class warships attacking the outnumber, outgunned and underarmored Spanish fleets in Central American and the Pacific. It wasn't much of a war but we like to talk about it since we got to beet up on a former european power. Actually the US has been in quite a few wars, we just don't talk about them much since we were usually beating up on people who had no chance of defeating us.
