I will never forget the obituary of the grandfather of one of my class mates.
"Though not a child of our region, he..."
The poor man had been born about 50km away (but in a different canton) and had moved to the village were he died at the age of 16 to work on a farm. He got married to one of the daughters and had a big family. He was over 80 when he died, but still he was a "foreigner"...
*Grin*
That and we are all independent cusses, and have been since the first three cantons decided they were fed up with paying taxes to the Austrian Empire in 1291.
