but they use USB and not RJ45 (CAT-5). If they used RJ45 I wouldn't be worried about it. I would just set up a Windows machine long enough to satisfy the installer and then switch it back to Linux after he left.

I could probably use Wine to run the ISP's connection software (I'd have to add USB ports to my router/firewall box, but that's not a big deal), but I'm not absolutely sure if it would work or not. If I do go with satellite I may just invest in one of the pre-configured Linux based routers, depending on how much they cost.
