I really don't think that's as true as you may think, there are just way too many stereotypes that are thrown around everywhere. From what I've seen posted by you and NOLAWitch, your beliefs teach you to be good to other people, to love and care about others, to give service when you can. I don't see this as all so different. This is my very point about labels. It is really impossible not to have labels at all, they help define us, and give us community. But let us use labels to generate understanding, not stereotypes, for friendship, not hate, maybe even for laughing at ourselves, not making fun of another. So I prefer that you define yourself and let me address you as you wish to be addressed, and I won't use a word to label you that could be demeaning, rather, give me understanding AND a label that is one that you relate to and love and I will be grateful to learn about you.
I have created a thread here and I would love to hear about the things that make your beliefs special to you (BLATANT SDP) I will look forward to your entry!
Thanks,
