If you call yourself Wiccan and I call you Wiccan out of respect for your beliefs it is derogatory?
Hmmm and by your analogy...
Pagan is a generic term that defines the class but really doesn't mean anything including general compatibility.
Wiccan is fairly universal and was created as an open standard that allows various non-equivalent classes/groups to interact and communicate.
Shamanism is a defunct attempt by a close-minded few to create their own communication standard.
Druids participate asynchronously without truly interacting with anybody but themselves unless gated into the general community.
*Grin*
Anyway, I care, because I want to understand you and your beliefs and hopefully learn because that is how I become improve myself, and the label (if any) that is given to you I want to represent you as you want to be represented.
What you are saying to me is that you DON'T CARE what I think and rebuff my attempt to learn about you because you are too bigoted against me and refuse to let me learn. Speak of condescension, speak of prejudice, speak of judgemental attitudes, I think I have run smack up against it. |
