Pagan, Heathen, Fairy-Godmotherian, Batmanian, whatever. That's the point, we dont care what christians call us simply because whatever it is will almost certainly be derogatory.
To put it simply:
Pagans are not athiests but also do not follow any of the "Big three" religions. (not exactly true but good enough for this simplified explaination)
I am a Wiccan, NOLA is also a Wiccan AND a Witch (Yes there is a difference and no, I aint gonna explain it! Look it up!) My mate Simon is a Shamen and my other mate Pete is a Druid. For ease of reference we are *all* Pagans but we do not all worship the same Gods/Goddesses (in fact some of us don't worship *any* gods per se). In computing terms: Pagan = network protocol, Wiccan=TCP/IP, Shamanism=NetBEUI, Druids=PPP.
I simply *DO NOT CARE* what label christians/jews/muslims give me. It only becomes a label/stigma for you. I will continue to not care right up until the point where the name-calling becomes an attack. |
