And I apologize to you. I felt that NOLAwitch was accepting the term as bigoted and intolerant because there are many very vocal people who alledge to be spokespersons for "Christianity" who do use those terms in that fashion. Like I said, if a Wiccan wants to be called Pagan, that's his/her right, but I'd like to know why.
I've seen children who have grown up being told that they were stupid, who take that "label" and wear it as a badge of honor for the rest of their lives in order to punish those parents. If Wiccans want to be called pagan because it expresses something about their beliefs then I'll be happy to oblige them. If they want to be called pagan as a badge of honor to show me how badly they've been treated, then sorry, I don't need to do that. |
