And yet everywhere I go I get put in the sales department even though I try to convince folks that I am not a salesperson. I always liked environmental stuff, although I am by no means a treehugger. One day I got to work at 8am at a job I hated as a concrete dispatcher (and how I got that job is another long story). They told me my schedule was changed and that I should've been there at 7am. Since I was 30 minutes late, I was suspended from work for 3 days. I went to lunch with some friends, and one of them said he knew of a guy who needed a customer service rep and thought I would make a great candidate. I interviewed that afternoon and the next day had a nice decent paying job in the Environmental Industry. I never went back to that nasty concrete plant and I have been doing this ever since, although I did change employers eventually.
