Aquidneck Island, there is a small chunk of the state on the mainland that contains Tiverton and some other dinky Podunk-sized towns (where they filmed "Witches of Eastwick") that are nice and not urban crime-ridden. If he can move to that side of the state he'd be better off. Plus, he'd be convenient to the shopping in Fall River, MA and Newport, RI. If he has to live on the other side of Naragannset Bay, he'd be best advised to get as far south of Warwick as possible. It's a dinky state but there are so many circuitous routes one has to take to get anywhere.
