When I was working upstairs in the department which sends out reports to clients, I had a customer who couldn't open zip files. OK I thought, send her a self-extractor, but oh no, their email system wouldn't let me send her an .exe. In the end I had to embed the .exe into a word file to get it past their systems in a way she could understand.
