If it has a distributor I would also suggest checking/replacing the distributor cap and rotor. You should also check the spark plug wires. Also check the PCV valve and crank case breather. Replace the air filter. Check the transmission fluid, it should be about the color of cherry syrup, if it isn't have it changed (I don't suggest doing this one yourself, it's messy ;-). Check your radiator/heater hoses for leaks or signs of wear. Lube anything that has a grease zert (looks kinda like a tire valve on various suspension/steering parts under the car).

That's about all I can think of at the moment.
