Works format rather than word perfect, though whether Office can open it depends on the version of works used. Anyone lame enough to be using works really doesn't deserve a job, quite frankly. Most places I've known to accept CVs by email specify Word 95 format, though some accept .rtf and HTML as well. Had some trouble not long ago with one which would only let you upload a genuine Word 95 document, not one of the .rtf files that newer versions of Office insist of Office 95 docs...
