| ABC stores aren't the only places you can buy 'round these parts, thankfully, but there are similar restrictions on how much you can buy at once. While in Florida, I keenly remember that you were supposed to have a liquor license if you had a keg at a party - you could rent them without one, but if the cops came to break up the party (which always seemed to happen, strangely), the host would get hit with a fine for not having said license. I imagine that was so the police wouldn't walk away empty-handed, since all the underage drinkers scattered like cockroaches when the lights come one whenever we heard that distinctive pounding on the front door. :) |
