Christian Hell. Your sources are less likely to be biblical than commentary, early Christian philosophers, etc. For example, hot vs cold hell, eternal vs destroying of spirit. The current Pope has also revised official Catholic doctrine regarding Hell (place vs state of being). Google produced the following...

Judaism is a lot different from Christianity. Christianity's roots may be Jewish, but that is about where the similarity ends. Islam is rooted in the same traditions, but likewise is not the same. For some internet thoughts just go to google.

Norse "Hell". What little we know of Norse mythology is from Snorri Sturluson and a handful of other fragments. Nothing contemporary at all. That said, the Norse Hel is not really equivalent to the Christian Hell at all -- it would seem to be merely a place for some(?) after death. Do a google search for Snorri and the Prose Edda. Or the Havamal. Baldsdraumr also mentions Hel. Perhaps Nastrandir would be a more likely equivalent? Mentioned in the Song of the Sybil (Voluspa) IIRC. Google found the following...
