I worked for Apple, on the System 7 answerline in 1992. Apple provided a 1-800- number for "any problem you might have with System 7".
It's not that I have anything against Mac users. Some of these people even had actual problems with System 7. The vast majority, however, of the calls I received had little to do with System 7 or even computers.
I kid you now, one person asked me, in what I a Chicago gang-land accent:
"So, why'a youse lettin Microsoft push youse guys out of da business?"
"I'm sorry, sir, this is the System 7 answerline. Can I forward your call to Legal?"
