I used to name throwaway test files `test.html` (or whatever extension was required). Then one day I needed to name an actual production file `test.html` and I realized that my naming convention wasn't working. I paused to think of a "meaningless" name for the file. It so happened that I had just been reading about the Apollo 8 mission, so on a whim I named the file `borman.html`, figuring that I would never need to name a production file `borman`. I still never have and I still name scratch files `borman`.
