You must consider the possibility that that proof has indeed been provided. Many "agnostics" have in fact already decided that there is no god, demonstrated by their lack of interest in examining the evidence. A true agnostic will actively seek to determine whether there is a god, for the reason that if there is a god, it would have a dramatic impact on that agnostic's life. The existance (or non-existance) of a god should be a huge issue, and anyone who accepts a view merely because a parent, a teacher, or society in general holds it is being quite foolish. Everyone ought to search out this issue in depth, because being wrong could have dire consequences.
