This discussion is mostly over for the day, but I realized that I should've posted this thought a lot closer to the root of the thread, because the more I think about it the more I feel this way about the people who are becoming impassioned about this subject - feel free to fly into a rage over the constitutionality of the wording, because I don't disagree with you, but the whole "brainwashing the children" idea just doesn't hold for me on this one.
I continue to think Newdow is using his kid as a platform, not trying to "protect her". (Yes, one can argue that that platform has everything to do with protecting children, but see my above thought on that...) He has, after all, proclaimed that he's going after the "in God we trust" money issue next.
Not trying to drive anything down throats, just realized that the above link was kinda buried in the discussion and people might not've read it, and was curious as to reactions in agreement or opposition. |
