Also, it's an aspect of Judao-Christianity that they not be allowed to recognize any other deity. They're also not supposed to use God's name, if I understand correctly. Therefore, only their God can be called God with a capital G.
Which has nothing to do with the government, which can use a capital G to refer to the title of God.
Not that these rules of capitalisation and spelling have nothing to do with the UPI styleguide, which should be burned.
