considering the movie "Urban Cowboy" by pecosdave 2002-07-12 12:18:40
was made not to far from were I'm at now, and closer to were I used to live I have seen quite a few. Dallas I don't know to well but El Paso and San Antonio have their share. If you want to rule out Texas all together because of it's uniqueness, yes I've seen urban cowboys when I lived in Phoenix. They were rare but they exsisted. A few I would consider Rednecks to.

Now for downtown, I've seen a few walking around Downtown Houston. Heck I'm wearing Wranglers, Ropers, and a patterened shirt right now and I'm on the 6th floor of a sky scraper in downtown Houston. I left my Resistol at home however.
