When I was in grade school there by xti 2002-07-12 10:45:48
were certain forms of music that my parents, rightly or wrongly, did not want their children to listen to. The progressive music teacher was very much interested in exposing students to this form of music. There was a great deal of humiliation, coercion, and abuse involved when I informed the teacher that I wouldn't participate in class. More humiliation was involved, thereafter, as I became somewhat of a pariah the rest of the school year... among the teaching staff. Meaning she sat in the teacher's lounge and gossipped to her fellow teachers about the scandalous child whose parents held certain politically incorrect views.

Nah, what am I saying. Liberals can't be bigots...

But that's okay. The teachers can indoctrinate children that certain forms of music are okay and their parents are stupid, but can't expose children to those two words "under God".
