imho, whoever should *not* get custody seems to be the one who *gets* it, at least in america. for every case where an abusive woman kept hte kids so she could get the child support moola, there is a case where a molester or totallyuninvolved jerk got the kids just so he could punish the mother. children should *not* be used as a method of punishing the ex-spouse. ever. nor should they be used as cash cows.

otoh, how children can bring more money *in* than they make you send *out* is beyond me. if i wanted to make sure my husband had no moola, i'd make sure *he* had custody.... i sometimes think we have stayed together *in spite of* our kids. ;-)
