any Christian indoctrination is harm. This story just shows that he has more problems than just the pledge. Do you really believe that an 8 year old has the ability to make an informed choice when all she knows is that her mother tells her that Christianity is true and good. If Christians are wrong, then the child is being harmed. Of course, the converse is also true. The only part of all this that should matter to the courts is whether the government, through the wording of the pledge, has any business supporting one religious view over any other.

His not having custody is irrelevant. This is the U.S.. Mothers always get custody unless they are proven to be horribly unfit. That doesn't remove the father's right to have at least some say in the upbringing of his child.
