to not say that line at all. It wasn't originally part of the pledge, and the very fact that this argument keeps raging proves that it is indeed seen as discriminatory by at least part of the population. There is no need of reason to have divisive language included in the pledge, especially as it was only added, long after the pledge was adopted, to please members of the dominant religion in this country.
