a little pro-active direct action is called for. I'm sure you have two large male friends/relatives who he doesnt know. Take them to work and point this knife-wielding pillock out to them. Then they go and have a "little word" with him (something along the lines of: "If you even wear an aftershave that LeiraHoward finds offensive we are going to take your little knife and use it to perform a rectalectomy") That will work. Of course if this creep is too stupid to understand simple threats you allow your two friends/relatives to practice what they preach.
