| The boss talked to the head of personnel, they both talked with me and then and went and talked to the kid. They told him that even though they realize he meant it as a joke, it was not appropriate at all, he has been asked not to come into work for the rest of the week, and if he ever pulls anything like that again, he's fired. He isn't getting his knife back. Both the HR guy and the boss just came by to talk with me again, tell me what they did, see what I thought, ask if I had any questions, and thank me for telling them. I am satisfied. The punishment is severe enough that he isn't just laughing it off, and yet was resolved without getting the police involved. |
